 Post subject: Stolen number plate
PostPosted: Sat May 29, 2004 3:37 pm

Someone stole the brass number plate off of ex-BEDT 0-6-0T number 12 last night. It is brass, round and has the number 12 cast on it with a ring around the edge. It measures 14" in diameter. If anyone tries to offer it for sale to you or if you see it for sale anywhere, please let me know right away. This is the original and dates from 1919. If you can get the name of the seller, please do so.

Thanks,

No- It's plain, 14" diameter with a raised ring around the edge and the number "12" in the center, brass with black background.

BEDT #12 was a Porter locomotive. Ron Ziel, the former owner, had the two builders plates in his living room, back in the 60's.
This is a sweet little tank locomotive. Both she and sister #13, at the RMPa, should be made operable if at all possible.
