I'll be riding the Davenport-Savanna trip and the circle trip out of St. Paul... maybe snapping a picture or two of the doubleheader...sneaking over to Boone for a looksee at the Chinese job... anybody want to get together at the Courtyard Hotel in Minneapolis for a drink one night to toast Don C. and the boys on their magnificent adventure... Courtyard is in the old MILW depot there...I'm buying, as long as it's: Old Milwaukee!

Or. maybe late at night on the ground beside the locomotive? Of course, you can't drink alchohol there, but there's a better drink to toast with anyway. You've heard of a "Boilermaker" before?
Well, this is called a "Boilersludge."
It's two parts condensed blowdown sludge with one part water from the tricock, and one part Jolt Cola. It's very healthy, loaded with calcium, iron, and other healthy minerals.

Just remember to let it cool down a little before drinking. I'll bring sugar and half and half for those of you who don't drink it "black". Jim, sounds like a plan to me; I know that Mark and I will be around for the whole celebration so round up the troops and we'll chat awhile. The Cedar Rapids has been painted and we are working on the black pin-striping and waiting for the lettering to be produced it can be applied. She sure looks sweet!
