My wife and I will be in the Seattle area the first week of July, looking for suggestions as to what to do and see railroad wise.

Thanks, Rick.

If you will be up on the week-end, the Northwest Railway Museum in Snoqualmie offers rides every 1.5 hours starting at 11:00a.m. Mount Rainier Scenic in Elbe also offers rides I believe. For mainline railroads, there is alot of action in the downtown area, though convinient parking can be hard to find. In Tacoma(about an hour south of Seattle) you can ride the Tacoma Link through downtown. The Tacoma Union station is now part of a university, but there is a nice art museum next to it. The BNSF/UP main runs past it.

Hope this helps.
