Some darn good reporting by this female reporter on the recent Hiwassee Gorge trip in Tennessee. Lots of information, without the usual tired cliches.

Thats a good report, and the engine looks sharp. Proves that diesel excursions CAN be fun and enjoyable and bring in the people... Hope to see the engine when I come for a visit in August...

Do the line's new owners have leads on permanent equipment? I know of a nice 2-8-0 and a couple 4-6-2's that are supposedly available, as well as some passenger cars......... oh, wait, is THAT what you guys down there were contacting me about? <:-)
