Is it still privately owned and dismantled in Georgia?

Yes to both questions. Also, it is not for sale.

There's a fairly recent John Gramling photo of the locomotive at the link below.

This is a case of demolition by neglect. The little engine was in good condition when the present owner removed it from the Louisiana Cypress Lumber Company yard in Ponchatoula, LA. years ago. If the owner can't afford to restore it or doesn't know how, he should do a favor for logging history and sell it to an organization that can. However, each year it sits dismantled out in the open, it's worth less.

Louisiana Cypress Lumber #2 hasn't fared any better. Photo below of it at Mid-Continent.

The present owner wasn't the original purchaser from LC. The engine was in some guys garage in Houston, intact, for many years. When I was kid, you would hear stories, almost fairy tales, about this old logging engine in some suburban garage.

This, and the little mogul at MidContinant, are about the smallest standard guage engines you will ever see.

There is a nice segment of this loco in operation on La Cypress in "Glory Machines Vol. 5." The 16mm film was shot by C. W. Witbeck and includes scenes of riding the logging train, loading logs, building track, link and pin couplers and runbys plus crossing over the ICRR main line. The track was laid on log stringers which caused the train to have a rolling effect while running. It makes you wonder if the workers became seasick.
Hope this little bit of spam is ok.
