Belfast & Moosehead Lake 4-6-0 on the turntable at Belfast, Maine, 1939. Turntable and enginehouse still exist, and they even have a 4-6-0, albeit from Sweden.

Bob, thanks for posting the B&ML photo. I have the builder's plate from a sister locomotive, Alco-Manchester #1784, from B&A 4-6-0 #61 and later B&ML #61. The plate is unusal because it is an Alco transitional plate. These plates were used in the period from 1901-1903 as the smaller companies were absorbed into the American Locomotive Company. It is a great photo and I wish I could have seen those locomotives in person!!!
