Steven,
Thank you for posting these, I've been intrigued by your products for some time now.
Tell me, have you had occasion to build any of your Model-5 Box Motors? Are these applicable (or adaptable) for light industrial or shortline use, i.e. limited freight service? It looks like horsepower and TE would be roughly equivilent to some car movers and light switchers. And the Cummins/Allison Toromatic combo is used in a lot of heavy mobile equipment.
Thanks,
J

Jeff: we have had no interest in the Model-5, which (sad to say) was the same when Edwards tried to market this car originally in the early 1920s. The original idea was that this motorcar would pull two standard wooden coaches or four Edwards trailer cars. Ony one Model-5 was built and sold. It went to the Butte, Anaconda & Pacific to be used as a self-propelled line car since that line was all electric. It is amazing that this car still survives in a mining museum in Montana. You can see a picture of this car, set up as a linecar, on our website, www.edwardsrailcar.com under "products". I would love to build one!

Do you have a current photo of No.503? and a photo of its pre-restoration condition. Also, did you compile any documentation while restoring the car?
