Post subject:  Scale Car to a Good Home

On June 4 there was a post on this board about a scale being available in Kansas. I hope someone picked this up.

If so, you may need a scale car to go with it. If not, here is the opportunity to get such a car for your collection anyway.

A homemade scale car MAY be available soon. This consists of a circa 1920 tank car with a bellyfull of concrete. Estimated total weight 100K, but this is an estimate only. The car itself is a candidate for preservation and a rare item in its own right.

The car is located in the Midwest and was created for in-plant use by the now dismantled refinery owner/operator. Unless there is some interest, this will be cut up for scrap - and with the collapse of the scrap iron market, it can be a real bargain for the new owner. AS IS, WHERE IS.
Contact me at my e mail address if any genuine interest.

$1.00 starting bid and no reserve--the auction ended with no bidders/bids.
