This may have been asked before, but I ask anyway. I was in Guthrie, Oklahoma Memorial Day weekend and down by the station were 5 or 6 heavy weight passenger cars. They were all in red primer and did not have any glass, but didnÂ’t look to be into too bad a shape. Does anyone know who they belong to now and what roads they came from. The one closest looked like it was CN/GTW but the othersÂ…? mongolike@yahoo.com |

They are all of CN heritage, 3 heavyweight coaches, one combine [the 4 being a "matched set"], and one lounge car [heavyweight, but much rebuilt with "streamstyling", et al]. They belong to Guthrie, Oklahoma [a subsidiary public entity, thereof, actually], and are slated for use in an eventual tourist train operation. hi_plain@yahoo.com |
