Not RR related, but I must say this web site is very impressive! Whoever made it should be very proud. The use of Flash and other elements makes it a really great site.

I am hoping to get to Durango and Chama to visit both railroads this year, although my first priority is the Denver area to visit railroads there.

Carlos does a great job with his updates. It is interesting to note that up through the end of the D&RGW on this line, workers of Hispanic descent were pretty much limited to being laborers on the track or in the shop. At one time in Chama, they really weren't welcome to live within the village limits, nor to join in social organizations or functions with Anglos. Today, they make up the bulk of the full-time employees. We still have a long way to go, but at least it looks like a little social progress is taking place.
