I have aquired in a mixed box lot of railroad items, a Cooper-Bessemer tool.
Part Number FV-44-D.
It is still sealed in plastic in the original packaging.
Written on the package is "Main Bearing Removal Tool".
Knowing the source, I assume this is for use on Locomotive engines..
It looks like a large thin spanner, with tabs on each side of the spanner opening.
Made of stamped steel, maybe 3/16" thick.
