Machinist - Job Description

FMW Solutions LLC (FMW), a railroad contracting, consulting, and engineering firm, has experienced significant growth since its founding in 2016. The company now serves clients in the Class 1, regional, tourist, and industrial trades, and features deep expertise in both modern and vintage rail equipment. As a part of this growth, a job opportunity for a Machinist has arisen in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

The Machinist will be part of a dedicated and talented team tackling the repair, restoration, and rebuilding of modern and historic railroad equipment. The right candidate must be safety-minded, enthusiastic, professional, trustworthy, transparent, and reliable.

As a custodian of unique, historic operating machinery, this candidate should have experience on boring and doweling machines and other specialty equipment Experience within railroad operating environments is a major plus, though not required. All FMW employees and contractors are expected to follow our code of conduct and ethics.

This position reports to the Vice President of Mechanical with relocation to Chattanooga and some travel possible. Compensation commensurate with experience. FMW offers a 401k and healthcare benefits.
