The Durango and Silverton Railroad is expanding its staffing in multiple trades. Here is a great opportunity to work on one of the most challenging and dynamic tourist railroads in the country. The D&SNG currently operates and maintains a fleet of 7 steam, 6 diesel, and 75 passenger and freight cars along with its contract repair business.
In the mechanical departments we are currently hiring for Machinist I, Carman I, Carpenter II, and Diesel Mechanic I. All class 1 positions are considered more of a entry level and require an understanding of the basic principals of the respective position and a strong work ethic.
All the above listed mechanical positions are Full-Time year around, fully benefited, positions with health insurance, 401K, PTO, etc....
