Post subject:  Historic Alco in Passenger Service for first time on M&H

The M&H RR has placed Alco T-6 #1016 in passenger service hauling the Santa trains. She makes a perfectly matched photogenic cherries and cream consist with the coaches. She was in service on Dec. 7 and today, Dec. 13. She should also be in service tomorrow Dec. 14 as well as Dec. 20 and 21. Santa trains run 11 a.m. 1:30 p.m. on those dates. She may also be used on Polar Bear Express Trains that leave at 4:30 p.m. but the light is all but gone by then. If you want to ride call the railroad for reservations. 717-944-4435. Trains leave from Middletown. They do take walk ups but some trips have been selling out. This is the first time the T-6 has originated scheduled passenger trains.
