railroad -
I got to looking at the photos that "railpast" (Walter of Beachville, Ontario) took on the TLE&W last month and need a bit of clarification. Walter labelled all of the photos as Grand Rapids, Ohio, but I think that some of them may have actually been taken in Waterville, Ohio. Certainly ALCO #5109 in front of the Waterville depot was taken there. I am going to assume that the cars you are trying to sell (Chessie caboose 3667, NKP caboose 466, the old Troop Sleeper and the white boxcar) are located there too, since this is apparently the cars that are isolated and thus in danger of being scrapped. Do I have that right? But what about 5109? Is she in danger too? Or is she going to be part of the new shortline operation?
I am also going to assume that the rest of the photos that Walter took are actually in Grand Rapids. Again, am I right? If so, then all of this other equipment must then be "safe". What about the two buildings shown with "railroad doors"; one has a single door and the other has three doors. Are these in Grand Rapids too? Are these owned by the TLE&W? If so, why isn't some of this equipment inside those buildings, or is there other TLE&W equipment already inside? I see that the Detroit Edison 0-6-0 has had some work done to it, and it is looking better. Outside storage however, can't be a good thing.
