RINGLING BROS. former generator car FOR SALE:

RBBX 60011 Generator Car (SIX-AXLES, BUILT by ACF in 1961 as UP 6319 [Baggage/Messenger] ), a Circus Train [HEP]-car with TWO, 480V Gensets, IS FOR SALE by Feld Entertainment, Inc., parent company of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus.

NOTE that RBBB usually KEEPS trucks/wheelsets, so special arrangements may be necessary to move the car out of Palmetto, Fla. (via CSXT) by any party interested in buying the car.

Too late! I called this morning and the generators have been sold and the car is already being cut up. They are reusing the trucks on another car. I wish I had heard about this two weeks ago.

Where was it listed? Over and over we hear of stuff getting cut up that was 'for sale' for extended periods, but it was never known it was for sale.

One place I saw it advertised was on a flyer on a vendor table at the Railroad Passenger Car Alliance conference in Indianapolis in 2012. It was listed as "Make Offer", but because of the value of the 2 gensets, the 6 wheel OSH trucks, the AP EE wheelsets, etc, they wanted to get reasonable market value for the car, so you weren't going to steal it.

I could swear I also saw it on either Railswap or one of the RR car broker websites as well.
