The SE Narrow Gauge & Shortline Museum is seeking two 1890's-1910 vintage freight cars that might be used for scrap. We have two cars we are restoring that need early archbar trucks, brake valves, brake cylinders, couplers/draft gear, and brake wheels.

We are a 501c3, and of course prefer donation, but we could certainly discuss purchase.

These parts will be used in the restoration of a Richmond & Danville boxcar and an 1890 Harrisburg Tank Car.

You can see our efforts at www.newtondepot.com

We are also still in need of several sets of 36" gauge trucks and couplers as well.

Thanks,

Matt Bumgarner

There were a number of NG freight cars located north of Alva Oklahoma. I last saw them 5 yrs ago they came from Colorado. I dont have a name but I am sure you can contact the local chamber of commerce they will know who the owner is.

Hello Matt,
I heard your acquisition of the Swayne/Westside log skeleton went well, and am glad to know that.

Reading this post, I recalled another which may be worthy of pursuit for these carbodies needing parts....
