This car, built in 1891, has reached the end of the line. A part of the roof has been off and people that have looked at it think it can't be safely moved. The car needs gone one way or the other. It still has a lot of fancy mahogany woodwork, brass framed windows, bevel edged mirrors, doors, stained glass clerestory windows and brass hardware. Maybe these parts can be used to save another car. I'm open to offers. Located in north central Ohio 44837. I don't think he's asking for exact GPS coordinates. "North Central Ohio" is a big place. He's posted the zip code, which narrows it down enough for all practical purposes (Oh, it's on the WEST side of town? Nope, sorry, too far to move it...) It would have been just as easy to simply say "near Greenwich, about 1 hour west of Akron" and possibly add "Privately owned, not connected to live rail" to sidestep all the "Is it at ABC tourist railway and can it reasonably be loaded onto a flatcar for movement? |

Isn't this the ex B&LE passenger car that is off of route 224 near Greenwich? It was discussed here years ago. |

I think he added the state and Zip code after my initial inquiry, as they weren't there the first time or I wouldn't have asked. And yes, I was asking for a vague sense of location, not GPS coordinates. It would make sense for, say, a railroad museum in Pa. or Indiana to pursue this, but not one in California or Washington. And, yes, 99.9% guarantee that this is the long-elusive [whatever RR] car out there. It appears, from the listings here, that the trucks and couplers that sit beside said car were salvaged from an RF&P car for use with this body.
