Tim -

Hope you can sell it. BUT, holy smoke, what's the story behind its existence? Who was it sold to? Why wasn't it used? Being in the original box might make it worthy of display as is! Please clue us in, IF you know the story.

Hi,

It came out of an estate sale in Virginia. That's all I know. I got it from a picker. Toward the end of the steam era, lots of this type of "obsolete" stuff was scrapped by the railroads, new in the boxes. I guess some railroader brought this one home as a souvenir. The picker said he had to pry up the lid with a crowbar and the box had never been opened. This was a few weeks ago. The loose parts in the box were factory-wrapped in white paper which crumbled to flakes when I touched it.
