Post subject:  PCC car and rotary converter available for donation

A former Pittsburgh Railways PCC number 1734 and a Westinghouse 2000KW rotary converter, both located at New Castle, PA, are available for donation to any 501c3 organization interested in preserving them. Be aware that these are available "as is, where is," with all removal at the expense of the recipient. Photos and further info are available. Contact the owner, Steve Kuznetsov, at 978-763-5577 for additional details.

I have no interest in this matter beyond wishing to see these items saved from being scrapped.

Some updates on the two items: The PCC is without trucks, carbody only. There is no requirement that it be preserved intact, if it would be better used as a parts car then so be it.

The rotary is a serious piece of machinery, measuring 10'x10'x10' and weighing 60,000 lbs. I have a photo available with human for scale, PM me if you wish to see it as it is too large a file to post here.
