Employment Opportunities Age of Steam Roundhouse Sugarcreek, Ohio June 19th, 2015 The AGE OF STEAM ROUNDHOUSE is now accepting resumes for the following positions: Machinist/Mechanic Requirements: A minimum of two (2) years’ experience with manually operated machine tools, such as milling machines, lathes, radial drill presses, shapers and others. Must be able to read blueprints, understand and use various measuring devices related to this field. Knowledge of drilling, boring, tapping and threading, etc., and a thorough familiarity with hand, power tools and general mechanical skills are a must. Welder/Mechanic Requirements: A minimum two (2) years’ experience with MIG, TIG and stick arc welding. Must have experience in soldering, brazing, oxy/acetylene cutting, and air carbon arc cutting. Must be able to read blueprints, and fabricate sheet metal with the normal cutting, bending and assembly processes. A thorough familiarity with hand, power tools and general mechanical skills is a must. A working knowledge of railroad equipment and its operation in general—and of steam locomotives and diesel-electric locomotives in particular—would be a great asset, but is not required. Both above jobs will involve all aspects of repair to many types of railroad-related machinery, equipment and facilities. *A high school diploma or GED is required. *Must be physically able to lift 60 pounds. *Must be able to work on ladders and scaffolds. *Must be an outgoing team player for AOSRH, its employees and volunteers. *Must be able to interact with the general public and visitors to the AOSRH facility. *Full-time position, Monday-Friday day-shift, with occasional weekend work for special events. *Health insurance, including vision and dental, will be provided after a 90-day probationary period. *Paid vacation and 401K option.
