RustStop 85 After months of research and in-service product testing in working steam locomotives, BoilerSaver is pleased to announce the availability of a new product for the protection and preservation of locomotive boilers. It works with all known water treatment programs. It is a liquid added to feedwater at the rate of 4 ounces per 1,000 gallons. RustStop 85 does not degrade in storage in a tender thank. It only becomes activated when reaching 160 F. RustStop 85 removes existing rust, protects against new rust formation and passivates boiler steel. It does Not have these disadvantages caused by sulfites: 1. Cause foaming and carryover of boiler water into steam 2. Contribute toward excessive Total Dissolved Solids and the need for more blowdown 3. Cause wastage of water, fuel and treatment due to excessive blowdown 4. Contribite to Galvanic Corrosion and water line pitting 5. Make soft sludge into tenacious honeycomb scale RustStop 85 may be fed on an ongoing basis or may be pre-dosed as a cold wet layup protection by feeding in the hour before cooldown. It works either alone or in a belt-and-suspenders approach along with nitrogen blanketing. The bottom line is $ 1.172 per 1,000 treated gallons of water. The ongoing presence and effectiveness of RustStop 85 by a simple color comparison test is strongly recommended. This kit costs approximately $ 65 and refill reagents are approximately $ 1 per test. In Cold wet layup, the water should be tested at 30 day intervals, as a maximum. Visit http://www.boilersaver.com |
