PRR Observation Frank Thomson / NP Dome Stampede Pass Fall Special: Join us on November 3rd for a one-way positioning move on the Michigan Wolverine! Enjoy a beautiful Saturday morning in fall watching the world pass by at 110mph! We will meet all guests at the Metropolitan Club in the heart of beautiful Chicago Union Station at 7:00 am. The train departs at 7:20am and is scheduled to arrive in Pontiac, Michigan at 2:39 pm local time where the cars will be switched off Amtrak. Beverage and snack service will be available in both cars throughout the trip. Guests may ride in either car and detrain at any station along the line. This move is a one-way trip, so please plan accordingly. Private cars on this Amtrak line are increasingly rare. Seating is limited. Unfortunately, this trip is cancelled. Sorry for the late reply to this particular board. We pulled the plug about 10 days ago due to lack of support by one of the freight railroads required to make the move to our intended final destination in Michigan. Moving private cars around these days is no longer a simple task... |
