Cabooses available for donation.
SERIOUS inquiries only!
Now that I have your attention....

There are a couple of cabooses available to be donated to 501C3 organizations from a class 1 railroad.
These cabooses would require trucking as they can not currently be moved by rail.

CR 23531 – (ex-NH) Class N8B Richmond VA

SCL 0750 – (ex-SCL) Class M-5 Richmond VA

CSXT 1942 – (ex-SCL 1095) Class M-6 Atlanta, GA

These cars are in danger of being scrapped if not acquired quickly.

The requesting group will need to have the means to get the equipment moved quickly.
While I cannot comment on the condition of the cabs in Richmond, I can vouch for the condition of the caboose in Atlanta.
It was at the Atlanta Terminal cookout/picnic area at Tilford Yard and is painted CSX blue & grey with "Atlanta Terminal" painted on it.

I will NOT post the contact information in public forum.
You may message me via messenger and I will give you an e-mail contact.

Again, we need to save these cabs but they will need to be trucked.
More cabs may be added to the list later.

There are other cabooses around the system available, with the same conditions (ie, must be trucked). I have helped with 3 so far, with a couple more that I am aware of. CSX has been very generous recently, and as my contact said, the valve could be shut off tomorrow.

Hello
I have a piece of property on CSX with a live siding in Montreal

We also run a registered charity live steam club for railroad retirees on another site as a separate incorporation.

This would make a fantastic live rail clubhouse for winter meets and would be exactingly preserved. Easy move for CSX.

Send an email to S.Filiatrault@Icloud.com

Thanks

You don't seem to understand how this works.

YOU contact CSX.

I'm sure those three are long gone. See if they have any more.
