I am not associated, post is on Facebook Marketplace. I'm not sure what this is, someone replied the engine is a Glover, another person said it worked on Holly Hill Lumber Co, but it looks like an amusement park ride to me. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/it ... 366750831/ "$49,000 This one of a kind converted steam train came from Gainesville, FL. It was originally a display piece for the Iron Horse Restaurant until purchased by the late Pete Stebelton and moved to Ohio. This piece of history needs a new home. It has been converted to compressed air and is absolutely capable of moving under its own power. For more details, please contact me directly."

While that cab could just be a home brew replacement, the slanted cylinders look par to the course to my eye from what little I know. There is also the data page from steamlocomotive.info for it. No pictures unfortunately. The ownership history does show it under the control of some Western Heritage USA group in Silver Springs, Florida which would match up with where the post claims it came from... Suffice to say I think it's the real deal. Now not many of us singularly have the money to go in and grab it, but it's a rare breed... I think the same site lists 7 Glovers surviving on the face of the planet. https://www.steamlocomotive.info/vlocom ... isplay=325 |
