I'll plead guilty to OT, but this may be as good a place as any. About 10 years ago I was out on the McCloud, at the fascinating forest yard of 'stuff' that was privately owned outside Mt. Shasta, and in that collection was the running gear and boiler of what certainly looked line a logging mallet #38. That's supposed to now be in private hands at Merrill, OR, and it 'looks like' it's still there from Google Earth. Any story behind that one? That's quite the collection of steam stuff in the wilderness. |

That was the #38. We moved it out of McCloud to Merrill, Oregon in September, 2006. Martin |
