FMW Solutions LLC (FMW), a railroad contracting, consulting, and engineering firm, has experienced significant growth since its founding in 2016. The company now serves clients in the Class 1, regional, tourist, and industrial trades, and features deep expertise in both modern and vintage rail equipment. As a part of this growth, a job opportunity for a Heritage Rail Mechanic has arisen in South Florida. The Heritage Rail Mechanic will be part of a dedicated and talented team charged with creating a robust community enrichment program centered around the maintenance, repair, restoration, and operation of historic railroad equipment. The right candidate must be safety-minded, enthusiastic, professional, trustworthy, transparent, and reliable. As a custodian of unique, historic operating machinery, this candidate must possess knowledge of railroad mechanical and operating environments, and experience with historic steam locomotives and historic passenger cars. Experience and familiarity with oil-burning steam locomotives are a plus. All FMW employees and contractors are expected to follow our code of conduct and ethics. This position reports to the Vice President of Mechanical and requires relocation to South Florida. Compensation commensurate with experience. FMW offers a 401k and healthcare benefits.
