While Grand Canyon Railway is always hiring for various positions, openings in the Mechanical Shop are somewhat rare. We have 3 right now: Railcar Mechanic III - this is an entry level position for the Passenger Car department. Duties could include: mechanical, air brake, plumbing, painting, and carpentry. Railway Train Mechanic II - The last time a non-supervisory position was open in the Locomotive Department was over 5 years ago. This position is geared towards diesel repair, but will include some steam repair and operation as well. Train HVAC Tech I- This requires an experienced and qualified HVAC technician to troubleshoot and repair the HVAC systems on 30 passenger cars.
