For sale: rare surviving example of standard New York Central "70-foot" clerestory roof coach. This car was assigned to the Pittsburgh & Lake Erie Railroad. It appears to have later been used in maintenance-of-way service and was subsequently modified for retail use off track. Presently stored in Claysburg, PA. Car has been stripped of interior modifications and has received partial asbestos abatement. Seats and other loose parts stored in the car are not included. This is a project car but appears to have good bones. "As is, where is", $10,000. Will have to be trucked out or loaded on flat car. Assistance can be provided. Will consider donation to 501c(3) non-profit. Acquiring party must demonstrate resources to move car off property and have a reasonable plan of restoration or alternate use.
