Available is a rare salesman demonstrator gauge from late 19th century. Ashcroft had developed an auxiliary spring gauge and sent a salesman out to railroads with this cutaway to show what such a gauge looked like and how it was in someways better than typical double tube railroad gauges. The interior action frame is "jeweled" and the bearing screws are cyanide blue. Everything is original including the dial silvering and inset numbers and letters. Solid brass case. Pictures tell the tale. I'll be glad to answer questions about this unique museum piece. Ready for display.
Price is $1000
