Hello, I'm needing a wheel set with 40in wheels, and APEE 6x11 roller bearings to rescue a GE 80ton that was put on a through freight at track speed 300 miles out of the way instead of the 40 mile special move at 45mph. So one of the traction motors grenaded, and they dragged it 7 more miles till they could set it out so I can't just take the traction motor off- there is a 6in flat spot. Anyone got anything? Even just a loaner to get it moved the rest of the way. Would entertain a whole truck. It was headed to the South Carolina Railroad Museum. Thanks! |

The reason I was looking was it was blocking an industry and we needed some kind of idler to just get it move. The big RR didn't have nor could locate a 40in wheelset with 6x11 roller bearings. They lifted it like the day after my post and just put 38in freight car wheelsets under the whole thing. |
