The Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum, located in Chattanooga, TN, is seeking applicants for a newly-created position of Executive Vice President. This individual will be an executive leader to grow within an identified succession plan to direct TVRM's attraction, passenger, and museum businesses. The EVP will have operational, financial and cultural responsibilities for the teams for which they are responsible and will work in tandem with the Finance and Administration team and the President to fulfill the strategic objectives of the organization. Major responsibilities of the EVP include performance management, communication inside and outside the organization, and the implementation of the priority initiatives within the strategic plan. The ideal candidate will have a experience in leading strategic planning implementation in a not-for-profit organization, familiarity with the railroad regulatory environment and will have a Master’s degree in business, public administration, or non-profit management. Required qualifications include a minimum of ten years of management and leadership experience in either a passenger rail excursion or related customer experience business, with the ability to train with and prepare for succession within the executive team. Other requirements include strong interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to read and interpret financial statements and budgets, and experience with safety and risk management responsibilities.
