NOTICE OF SOLICITATION OF BIDS Notice Issued: February 6, 2025 Mid-Continent Railway Historical Society, Inc., (MCRY) a Wisconsin Corporation, E8948 Museum Rd, North Freedom, WI 53951 is releasing, Solicitation for Bids - Surplus Rail and Other Track Material 2025 for surplus relay rail and other track materials being recovered as part of MCRY’s Main Track Rail Replacement Project. MCRY is recovering approximately 7200 track feet (138 Net Tons) of 60-pound rail, and 6500 track feet of 72-pound rail (156 Net Tons) as well as associated Joint Bars and Tie Plates (58 Net Tons) also known as Other Track Material. This material is currently being dismantled and removed from active main track in the care and manner required for relay rail by a professional railroad contractor and will be sorted and staged for loading onto highway or rail transportation.
