The Washington, D.C. Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society has an assortment of old passenger car brake hardware that we will give to a good home such as a Railway Historical Society or a museum. The gear includes valves, which are probably but not certainly UC related, a couple air tanks, and some hand brake hardware.
Much of it we believe came off our 1923 Pullman DOVER HARBOR when its brakes were upgrade to 26C about 30 years ago. It has been stored in a non-climate controlled baggage car. We now need the space for other purposes. The equipment is as is, where is. Certainly it will all need to be serviced to be usable.
The hardware is located in suburban Maryland about 20 minutes from BWI airport. You must come get them.
If no one claims them in a reasonable amount of time we will recycle them. But we thought that given their historic nature, we would give another group chance to take them.
