On steamlocomotive.info, we just received notification that a number of photographs that we displayed were actually not by the photographer who claimed them. We were provided ample evidence that this was true. Hence, 287 photos were removed from the system. Some of them may actually have been by the individual who did this, but we couldn't prove that, and took the path of greatest safety and eliminated all photos by that individual.

In that case I would post the takedown request to www.chillingeffects.org. This is a public clearinghouse for information about takedown requests. The purpose is to allow identification of patterns of behavior, which deters false takedowns. Google and Yahoo do that for all takedowns they receive.
