Post subject:  Nine Thousand Steam Locomotives
This afternoon we reached another goal. www.steamlocomotive.info now has photos of 9000 DIFFERENT locomotives, worldwide. This pleases me for some reason. And I wonder how long it'll take to go from 9000 to 10000, now that I've picked most of the low hanging fruit, so to speak.

Congratulations on your milestone!

Fruit is fruit, whether it hangs low or you have to climb to get it. 9,000 is a really big number.

I admire your dedication and commend your efforts..

Added several locomotives that were unknown to us in Russia, and photos for locomotives in Russia and Eastern Europe bringing the total number of locomotives with photos to 9050. Whee :)

Well, since September 25th when we reached the 9000 milestone, we've added photos of 80 more locomotives, bringing the total to 9080 with photos. Of those eighty, perhaps a dozen were also locomotives newly added to the database. Continuing to spend about two to three hours per day researching and searching for images that can be lawfully used.

Thank you so much Jeff! The count this morning is 9129 and will increase throughout the day. Or at least until my granddaughter comes home from her sleepover. Then...all bets are off. She owns me.
