This turned up on my Facebook page. I am having fun with these. The lake boat is Pere Marquette 21. Even though its been many years that does not look like the way I remember Ludington so I think that the picture is at Milwaukee. The street trackage looks more like the Western Pacific's back alley entrance to Sacramento than Oakland Thanks GME |

Ah--the infamous Terminal Island streetcar stack. If you look closely, you'll notice that most of the air whistles are missing. One of the local "oral traditions" among PE fans is that the scrapper (National Metals?) lost money on the job because the Hollywood cars had concrete floors, which made the salvage process more difficult. |
