Definitely trolley seats from early in the 1900s to the 1930's, or later on some cars. Hale & Kilburn were associated, at a different times, with Wakefield. Wakefield or Brill used the same style seat frame as both used the oval base. The handle is a common style as well as several similar models but with shorter tangs. What else do you want to know? You can wiki Wakefield, Hale & Kilburn, and Brill for more detail as to the era of the seats. |

Harry...Thank you! Are these worth anything? Is there any demand for these to aid in a restoration project? Thanks again...Tom |

Well, I have sold the frames cleaned up, for $150.00 each and I am out of stock, I can not keep them in stock - can't find that many around that are available. I have toyed with reproductions, as has John Landrum of MATA, but the cost and work involved in cleaning up the castings as well as the assembly doesn't make it worth while now. I do not think there is a big market to go into production, just some sales to museums for fillers or renovation of another car (not a lot of that going on right now on a grand scale). Somebody make me to be a liar by disclosing what is in rehab now and how many more cars are to be done this year. |
