Don't know if this qualifies for here or the "railfanning" board but please move if need be. Anyway, a railfan associate of mine that lives in the Cincinnati area went to check out why the Norfolk Southern "Wabash" heritage unit (#1070) has been sitting still in the Erlanger, Kentucky yard the last couple of days. He found this on the front truck: http://www.deviantart.com/art/The-Damag ... -554203332 I'd guessed she got dragged at first but it appears this is the only axle damaged. Traction motor lock up maybe??? |

That damage isn't too bad. Just put a new traction motor on it. |

Common occurrence these days. You'll see Corman or Hulcher out there soon to lift it up so an idler wheel can be put in. |
