The Milwaukee Road's Pacific Coast Extension was listed as a "blunder" in Trains' September article "Railroading's Biggest Blunders." I begged to differ in a letter I sent to the editor, one in which I made sure to mention some facts gleaned from this article by T.R. Jones (which I acknowledged): http://www.trainweb.org/milwaukee/article.html My letter was fast tracked to the list of candidates for publication, and bingo: you can now read it in their November issue. It is nice to have my letter published in their 75th anniversary issue. It is like joining the party. :-) |
