On Saturday June 11th, NKP will be on display at Franklin Park Railroad Daze in Franklin Park, IL along with other equipment from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM! Then, in the morning of Sunday June 12th, it will do an excursion titled 'THE VARSITY' from The Glen of North Glenview of Glenview, IL to Fox Lake and Janesville, Wisconsin! This trip will utilize Metra/CP trackage north to Rondout, IL and then go west to make a 20 minute passenger stop in Fox Lake, IL then on to Janesville, WI and return! Here's the schedule: 7:00 AM Depart from The Glen of North Glenview 8:00 AM Arrive Fox Lake Metra Station 8:20 AM Depart Fox Lake 11:00 AM Arrive Janesville 12:30 PM Depart Janesville 2:30 PM Arrive Fox Lake 3:30 PM Depart Fox Lake 5:30 PM Arrive The Glen of North Glenview The extended times on the return trip are due to Metra traffic. NKP 765 is making its ferry move to Chicago today. The NS excursion cars arrived yesterday and they departed Fort Wayne shortly before 1pm today. Route is the ex-NKP main. |
