I wonder if any of you knowledgeable folks can help please. Many years ago (late 1970’s at a guess) I saw a film (run as a B feature). No idea what it was called but the plot involved the middle of a freight train going missing! The train was hauled by what I now know as an F Unit and was near a Native American reservation when the middle of the train was cut out on the move and diverted into a siding on the reservation, and the caboose magically coupled to the loco again (all on the move) without the crew knowing anything about it, or the brakes operating. Needless to say the crew got a good ribbing when arriving at their destination minus the consist. It has puzzled me for years and I’ve never seen the film again.

Anyone any ideas please?

Michael

The movie was called "Flap" starring Antony Quinn.
