Post subject:  "Moving Granite On CSX"

The Port of Oswego, NY is undergoing a harbor revitalization project which includes repairs to its breakwater.

Granite for the breakwater work is quarried in Barre, VT at Rock of Ages and transported by rail to Oswego.

The "granite gons" are seen here departing Utica, NY on 8/28 after CSX Q62028 stopped to switch the Mohawk, Adirondack & Northern.
