Post subject:  Sifting through old photographs, looking for help

So today I decided to go through one of my old chests. In this chest I found some cool stuff. Two of the coolest things I found was an ACL Champion postcard (you know, the one with the Purple E3, blue sky, straight rail, can’t miss it), and many photos of an excursion trip including Southern 630 and Southern 722. I’m trying to get an idea of when and where this trip was: the photos were not in any kind of order but it does include two key components: one of the pictures was of SDP40f 609 (a surviving unit for EMD), and all the Amtrak cars in the consist are of Phase 1 livery, so it couldn’t have been earlier than late 1973, or later than 1977 or so. Any estimate of when this trip actually happened and where it went?
