I was driving by the beautiful Buzzards Bay Train Station and Railroad bridge today and stopped to take a few pictures. Enjoy.

Some years ago, I took the Cape Cod Central RR from Hyannis to Buzzards Bay and return. It was a nice trip. The best part for me was I was invited to ride with the engineer on the outbound leg.

Lucky you. How did you swing that?

Before the train pulled into the station, I was chatting with the engineer and the conductor. I mentioned I volunteered on a tourist railroad in California, and thought nothing more about it. I was sitting in the dining car, when the conductor shows up with an orange vest and a liability release form.and asked me if i wanted to ride up front with the engineer. Well you know the answer LOL
The funniest part was I was with a group, and the engineer and I had the same first name. They had a narrator who said now XXX is going to do this. Half of my group thought I was doing the driving!
