Working within self-imposed constraints, Matthew Malkiewicz found the freedom to grow creatively. The results is an inspiring story of discovery, and a gallery of outstanding photographs. http://thetracksidephotographer.com/201 ... discovery/ Edd Fuller, Editor The Trackside Photographer http://thetracksidephotographer.com/ |

Edd, Is this railroad in the area of 75th and Riverside in Brooklyn? Not being familiar with NYC, I am searching for the railroad that served the wharf in the 75th St area before the roads were improved. Harry Nicholls Dallas |

Harry - Jay Street was well north of there. Basically under the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges and running a little east of there. A small line that handled a lot of cars in its heyday. Cars came in and out by ferry. |

Eric, Thanks for the location of the Jay Street Connecting. I had an idea that is where it should have been since all the location maps gave that under the bridge spot but no signs, now, of any such activity with the redevelopment. This little line is hard to locate any info on and I am curious as to where such info may be found. The usual resources sure do not have any notation of it. Any further help is appreciated. Harry |
