I though it interesting to see a Pennsylvania Railroad Keystone flying proudly on a railroad building in in active use in 2020. Probably dates from the rebuild of the yard by the Pennsy in the late 1950s.

Unless I’m brain farting, that’s been there as long as I can remember. PRR was pretty proud of that facility and at one time promoted it as “The Largest Pushbutton Yard in the World”. Nice to see it somewhat maintained.

It's my understanding that this is actually built into the brickwork of the building and has been there since originally built. However, during PC and Conrail eras, it had been covered up with signage from the appropriate new owners. During the Wick Mooreman era the Keystone had been discovered and has remained uncovered since then.
