I am not a member of them, but I am trying to support them for those of you who didn't know, Stanislaus was built in 1949 for the Southern Pacific's Shasta Daylight as a 48 seat chair car. it was Later Used with SP 4449(the last daylight steam locomotive) in 1981 and 1984 for special excursions and rail fairs. later on, Stanislaus was retired and put into storage. But as of September 2020 the Friends of SP 4449 announced that they are restoring the Stanislaus to operating condition. by the time you reed these words, the car is now on its way to Portland were the restoration will begin. the ORHF(Oregon Rail Heritage Foundation) is a non profit all volunteer organization based in Portland Oregon. they have a collection of vintage rail equipment and rolling stock such as E1 SP&S 700, OR&N 197, SP GS4 4449 steam locomotives. they have very nice rail cars such as, the last Southern Pacific daylight observation car, a Northern Pacific buffet lounge, a Great Northern parlor coach, and many more fancy passenger cars. pls consider donating https://www.gofundme.com/f/preserve-the-sp-2395-coach https://www.4449.com/roster.html https://orhf.org/
