Views from the caboose (ex-Erie, now in Conrail colors) on an Adirondack Railroad work train between Remsen-Forestport Station NY on November 4th are featured here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z9SF_DroDRc&t=1s Approximately 85000 ties (90% of them new) have been emplaced this year on the Adirondack's 85-mile route between Remsen-Tupper Lake NY. The entire line is also receiving new ballast. Work will continue in 2022. |

Not to be hyper-critical but it looks like they have spread ballast everywhere. It looks to be way off of the end of ties. If so (and it is hard to tell from the video) then there may be way too much. |
