I have a heart shaped black iron switch type padlock , with a large rivet on the hinge side of the hasp. 8 inches of chain on the bottom. shackle is marked on one side J. H. W. CLIMAX. NEWERK N.J. USA. and on the other top side of the shackle, ECS CO LTD. where and what RAILROAD, is this switch lock from? any and all help will be much appreciated. thanking you. |

Not a switch lock expert. But Climax was the lock manufacturer. No clue who ECS was. Most switch locks had the railroad name cast or stamped on them. I'm thinking the lock wasn't purchased for use as an actual switch lock, maybe? |

Eric, thank you for your input on the lock, as I have no clue as to what the letters ECS. CO. LTD. means ? stands for? hopefully some member will help me? |

sorry but I would love to send a picture of it, but the laptop that I use will not let me do it. all I have is the description that I posted. maybe some one will pick up on the description that I provided? I was hoping that the E.C.S.CO LTD. stamped on the shackle would help? |

it is a start, but an option is to post it on the Antique railroad locks and key collectors on Facebook to get there opinions |

The_Pine29. thank you so much for the input on finding out what lock it is that I have. I did not know of the site, as I am a nimrod / nube, I am going to the site asap. this is just the best site, with guys chimining in to offer help on questions. if any one still has any help & information on the lock, please let me know. toot. |
